Betting on Change Often Part 1

We are not your average Consultants and this isn’t your mama’s strategic planning or cousin’s project management. But, we are your dedicated ally in the pursuit of positive transformation, and we should be your top choice when considering a Consultant to get the job done, challenge you along the way, and build your capacity to sustain it and do it again.

In our tenure, we've worked with the High Point Market Authority to improve the High Point Market for Home Furnishings–the world’s largest furniture trade show that stands as NC’s largest economic event–with a specific aim to diversify the home furnishings industry, creating opportunities for BIPOC professionals and entrepreneurs. In case that didn’t impress you, we've partnered with the Duke Endowment, one of the nation’s largest 501(c)(3) private foundations, and helped them discover over 60 BIPOC-led nonprofits in Guilford County, boosting opportunities to invest critical funding into these organizations. But, don’t dare let us forget about the nation’s leading dropout prevention organization, Communities In Schools (and several affiliates), and how we helped increase alumni stakeholder engagement and DEI across leadership staff with individualized professional development. Oh, and how could I not bring up collaborating with Business High Point - Chamber of Commerce to not only develop a program that economically and wholly supports minority and women-owned businesses, but also sets them up to scale into their first brick and mortar locations?

Now, it just so happens that highlighting a few of our projects at Change Often sounds a lot like bragging. However, sustaining a local, thriving Black-owned consulting firm that has achieved what much larger companies struggle to accomplish, demonstrates the resilience and unique capabilities embedded in our approach to success, transforming it into a humble acknowledgment rather than mere boasting.

So, why should you bet on Change Often? I could tell you it’s because we’ve secured over $21 million for socially impactful initiatives or because we have a 77x ROI for nonprofits and social enterprises. But, maybe you could find a consultant with better numbers than that. Instead, I’ll say you should bet on Change Often because we’re not afraid to admit we don’t know everything. And in fact, we believe this core value of a growth mindset enables us to create and navigate various processes to solve issues.

The blog series, Betting on Change Often, may be a playbook in telling you how we get it done, but it’s also an invitation to experience our Change Agents for yourself and really start to bring to fruition a future where you don’t have to ask Alexa, “find me a consultant who does research in the community.” And, you can stop Googling “effective consultants near me who care about my project.”

Now, let me ask you a question, or a few. Are you willing to bet on the underdog? Are you willing to trust the process? Are you willing to bet that Change Often is the consultant for you? Because we are. And soon enough, we’ll prove it.

Don’t just take our word for it. See what our Impact Partners say about working with Change Often.

"The entire CO team has become an extension of our team and without their ability to continually push our community's visions forward, I feel that several initiatives would perish."
